Welcome to OctaPlus.org ("OctaPlus," "the Platform," "we," "us"). OctaPlus is a free, community-based platform that connects artisans and service providers ("Artisans") with customers seeking their services ("Customers"). By accessing or using OctaPlus, you agree to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. About the Platform

• OctaPlus is free to use. Creating an account, listing your skills, posting a job request, and being matched with someone all cost nothing.
• An optional paid subscription is available. It does not unlock the ability to use OctaPlus — it adds convenience for those who want it. See section 5.
• OctaPlus acts only as a meeting point where Artisans can showcase their skills and Customers can post job requests. We are not a party to any agreement, transaction, or payment made between Artisans and Customers.
• These Terms may change as the Platform grows. Continued use of OctaPlus after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

2. Eligibility and Registration

• You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use OctaPlus.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating a profile or posting a job request, and to keep this information up to date.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Use of the Platform

• OctaPlus may be used only for lawful purposes connected to genuine artisan services and job requests.
• Artisans are responsible for the accuracy of the skills, experience, and services they list, and for the quality and safety of the work they perform.
• Customers are responsible for clearly describing job requests and for verifying that an Artisan is suitable before engaging them.
• All agreements on pricing, scheduling, payment, and the scope of work are made directly between the Artisan and the Customer. OctaPlus is not involved in, and does not guarantee, mediate, or enforce, any such arrangement.

4. Acceptable Use

When using OctaPlus, you agree that you will not:

• Post false, misleading, fraudulent, or defamatory information.
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity, skills, or affiliation.
• Harass, threaten, abuse, or discriminate against other users.
• Post job requests or services that are illegal, unsafe, or that violate the rights of others.
• Use the Platform to spam, advertise unrelated products, or distribute malware or harmful content.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Platform or its systems.
• We reserve the right to remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these standards, at our discretion and without prior notice.

5. Free Use, and Optional Subscriptions

OctaPlus is and remains a free community platform. There are no registration fees and no listing fees, and OctaPlus does not currently take any commission on work arranged through the Platform. Every core function — creating a profile, posting a job request, being matched, contacting the other party, and completing the work — is available at no cost.

We also offer an optional paid subscription. It is a convenience, not a gate: nothing that is free today becomes paid because a subscription exists. A subscription provides:

• Wider and more detailed searching. Subscribers see more of the ranked results, can search beyond the standard distance, and can sort and filter matches by rating, distance and price.
• A modest ranking priority for Artisans. Where two Artisans are closely matched for a job, a subscribing Artisan may be listed first.
• Higher free-usage allowances, where limits on the number of requests or jobs would otherwise apply.

What a subscription does not do. We are explicit about this because it is the part users most reasonably worry about. A subscription does not place an Artisan above a better-matched one. Ranking priority applies only as a tie-break between Artisans who are already closely comparable on rating, completion record, relevance and distance. An Artisan who is a clearly better match for your job will always be ranked ahead of a subscriber who is not, and no amount of payment changes that. Where a subscription has affected the order of results, we say so on the recommendation itself.

A subscription also does not imply any endorsement, verification, or guarantee by OctaPlus of that user's work, and it confers no advantage in any dispute.

Future changes. We reserve the right to introduce fees, commissions, or further premium features in the future. Any such change will be communicated to users in advance, will not apply retroactively to arrangements already made, and will be reflected in an updated version of these Terms which you will be asked to review.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

OctaPlus is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. We take reasonable steps to vet Artisans and Customers and verify the information they provide, in order to promote a trustworthy and credible community. However, this vetting does not constitute a warranty or guarantee of any kind, whether express or implied, and we do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, quality, safety, or legality of any Artisan's services, any Customer's job request, or the outcome of any engagement made through the Platform. Our matching and ranking are automated estimates of relevance based on the information available to us. They are a starting point for your own judgement, not a substitute for it.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OctaPlus and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to disputes, losses, injuries, or damages resulting from interactions or agreements between Artisans and Customers.

8. Dispute Resolution Between Users

Any disputes arising from services rendered, payments, or agreements between an Artisan and a Customer are the sole responsibility of those parties. OctaPlus encourages users to communicate respectfully and resolve issues directly, and may, at its discretion, offer informal assistance, but is under no obligation to mediate or resolve such disputes.

9. Content and Intellectual Property

• You retain ownership of the content (text, images, descriptions) you post, but you grant OctaPlus a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content on the Platform for the purpose of operating the service.
• You must not post content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others.

10. Privacy

Information you provide to OctaPlus is used to operate and improve the Platform, including connecting Artisans and Customers. We take reasonable steps to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal or financial information through public listings or job requests.

11. Termination

You may stop using OctaPlus at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform for any user who violates these Terms or whose conduct we reasonably believe is harmful to the community.

12. Changes to These Terms

As OctaPlus is a growing community platform, these Terms may be updated from time to time to reflect new features, policies, or legal requirements. The "Effective Date" above will indicate the most recent revision. We encourage users to review these Terms periodically.
